Se p 20 01 Cosmological Constraint on the Zee model
It is well known that the Zee model induces small neutrino masses by radiative corrections, where the bi-maximal flavor mixing is possible. We analyze the cosmological condition in order for the baryon asymmetry generated in the early universe not to be washed out in the Zee model. Since the lepton number is violated explicitly in the Zee model, the baryon asymmetry might be washed out through ...
متن کاملCharge breaking bounds in the Zee model
We study the possibility that charge breaking minima occur in the Zee model. We reach very different conclusions from those attained in simpler, two Higgs doublet models, and the reason for this is traced back to the existence of cubic terms in the potential. A scan of the Zee model’s parameter space shows that CB is restricted to a narrow region of values of the parameters.
متن کاملThe LSND Experiment and the Zee Model
A recent experiment LSND at Los Alamos has provided[1] an indication of ν µ − ν e oscillations with ∆m 2 of order 1ev 2 or greater and sin 2 2θ eµ between 2 × 10 −3 and 10 2. Such a value of ∆m 2 for ν µ − ν e oscillations was not expected in the standard seesaw model[2] suggested by SO(10) with a large mass hierarchy because it leads to too large a value of m(ν τ) to fit cosmological constrain...
متن کاملNew Trends in the Zee Model
Recent trends in the Zee model are reviewed. Especially, the importance of a serious constraint in the Zee model, sin 2θsolar = 1.0, is pointed out.
متن کاملCan the Zee Model Explain the Observed Neutrino Data?
The eigenvalues and mixing angles in the Zee model are investigated parameterindependently. When we require |∆m12/∆m23| 1 in order to understand the solar and atmospheric data simultaneously, the only solution is one which gives bi-maximal mixing. It is pointed out that the present best-fit value of sin 2θsolar in the MSW LMA solution cannot be explained within the framework of the Zee model, b...
